So you want to know if a guy likes you? Some guys can be hard to read if they don’t just come right out and tell you they like you.
The good news is that a guy’s body language can be a big giveaway when it comes to figuring out if he likes you.
There are certain things guys do subconsciously when they like a woman. If you know what signs to look for, you can decode his body language and find out if he’s crushing on you.
Here is a list of 24 signs a guy likes you. If a guy did only one of these things, it probably wouldn’t tell you much. But if he does a bunch of them, then you can be pretty sure he likes you.

1. He smiles at you
If you notice a guy smiling at you, it’s a pretty good indication he likes you. It’s natural to smile at someone you like, but how do you know if it means something more? Try to notice how often he smiles at you. If he seems to smile at you a lot more than would seem normal, he probably likes you. If he seems to smile at you whenever you lock eyes, for no apparent reason, he probably likes you.
2. He maintains eye contact with you
If a guy makes eye contact with you and it feels prolonged, even just a fraction of a second longer than would seem normal, he is most likely interested in you. Especially if he flashes you a big grin at the same time.
3. You catch him staring at you
Have you ever caught a guy staring at you, and he suddenly turns away? If you catch him once, it could be a mere coincidence. But if it happens more than once, chances are he likes you. Provided you aren’t doing or wearing something absurd or have food on your face, he’s probably into you.
4. He’s always around
If a guy is always walking near you, sitting next to you, or just seems to pop up wherever you are, those are all good signs that he is interested and trying to find opportunities to get closer to you.
5. He stands a little too close
If you feel as though a guy is invading your personal space just slightly, this could be a major sign that he likes you. Take note of the distance between you when he’s around. If he’s a little bit closer than he should be, he probably likes you. If you move in a little and he doesn’t step back, it means he’s receptive. If he responds by getting even closer, you can be pretty certain he really likes you.
6. He leans in, shoulders square to you, without turning his back
If a guy leans in facing you with his shoulders square to you, and rarely turns his back, that kind of body language is a good indication he’s interested in you.
7. His legs, feet, or toes are pointed towards you
When a guy is interested in you, he may subconsciously point his legs, feet, or toes towards you. People tend to point their feet in the direction of where they want to go or who they are interested in.
8. He stands tall
When a guy likes you, he may subconsciously stand up taller, push his chest out, and tuck his stomach in to impress you and appear more masculine. If a guy is slouching and suddenly stands up taller when he sees you, this could indicate he’s subconsciously trying to impress you.
9. He mirrors your body language
People tend to subconsciously mirror each other’s actions when they are listening to one another intently. If a guy mimics your body language, this could be strong indication of his interest because it means he’s focused on you. Try leaning forward, touching your hair, taking a sip of your drink, or resting your chin on your hand. If a guy likes you, he might start copying your gestures without even realizing he’s doing it.
10. He touches you
If you notice a guy making a lot of unnecessary physical contact with you, he probably likes you. He might brush against your arm, pat you on the back, put his hands on your shoulders, touch his leg to yours, or give you a lot of hugs. The more physical contact he makes, the more obvious it is that he likes you.
11. He raises his eyebrows
If a guy raises his eyebrows in response to something you say or do, it could be an indication of his interest in you. On its own, this might not be enough to tell if a guy likes you, as it could just be a friendly, non-flirty facial expression, so watch out for other signs too.
12. He grooms himself
If a guy starts grooming himself when he sees you, he may be subconsciously trying to look good around you. If he starts fixing his hair, brushing the lint off his clothes, or straightening his tie, it could mean that he likes you.
13. He’s nervous, awkward, or clumsy around you
If a guy acts nervous, blushes, gets flustered, or is just awkward around you, he probably likes you. He’s most likely nervous about making a good impression.
14. He laughs at your jokes
If he laughs at your jokes, even when they aren’t that funny, it’s a good sign he likes you.
15. He shows off
If a guy tends to show off a lot around you, he probably likes you and is just trying to get your attention.
16. After he says or does something funny, he looks at you for a reaction
Let’s say a guy tells a joke or does something funny in a group and everyone around starts laughing. If he looks at you first to see your reaction, it’s a sign he likes you because he wants to make sure you noticed and laughed too.
17. His behavior changes instantly
If a guy’s behavior changes the minute he sees you, that could be a sign he likes you and is trying to impress you. If he’s in a group and he’s laughing or acting rowdy, he might instantly quiet down when he notices you. Or he might have been quiet and then suddenly gets louder and tries to become the center of attention to impress you.
18. He treats you differently
Watch how a guy acts around his friends or other girls. If he treats you differently, that could be a sign he likes you.
19. He’s protective
If a guy likes you, he may start to act protective of you. He might give you his jacket if you’re cold. Or if you are walking through a crowded place, he might position himself in front of you to push away the crowd.
20. His friends tease him around you
If you’re around a guy when he’s hanging out with his friends, and they know he likes you, they may tease him subtly. Watch how his friends act around you. If they turn towards him, smile at him, punch him in the arm, or smirk knowingly, they’re probably messing with him because they know he likes you.
21. Acts annoyed or jealous when you talk to other guys
If a guy is keeping an eye on you and looks jealous or annoyed when you’re talking to another guy, he probably likes you. He might try to look like he’s not paying attention, but he’ll keep tabs on you to see if you’re interested in the other guy. He might even sigh or walk away.
22. Watches you while he flirts with other girls
If a guy’s watching you while he’s flirting with another girl, he’s probably trying to get your attention and gauge your reaction to find out if you like him. Why else would he be looking at you when he’s supposed to be flirting with someone else if he didn’t like you?
23. He hangs around one second longer
When you’ve been talking to a guy, and he’s about to leave, but then stays one second longer than he had to, it’s a sign he likes you. That one second longer was a moment of hesitation where he was trying to decide if he should ask for your number or ask you out.
24. He takes one last look at you
If a guy makes eye contact with you just before leaving the room, even though he’s busy talking to someone else, he probably likes you and wanted to get one last look at you. He was probably hoping you were looking at him too so he could lock eyes with you one more time.

I have a crush on a guy and every time we see each other we always have eye contact and end up staring at each other and it doesn’t feel awkward. He does little things for me but i don’t know if he likes me or if his just trying to be a gentleman? We have never spoken but we always make opportunities to meet each other but most of the time were just shy to talk each other. Every time I see him , I always catch him looking at me ( even when he is in his going home , I always see him in the car looking at me ) I try to show him ( as much as possible) that I like him.Sometimes he shows off his muscles and he is always there and we are always looking at each other and when he gets the chance , he does things/helps me. I have never felt this way about a guy before!

I think he likes you more than you think. I go through the same thing with a boy that I don’t even really like!! I am already dating someone and I asked him what do guys do if they like a girl, and he answered with they show it with the action. Like for example he said that in 2nd grade (when we first met) he said that he would at least leave a nice comment on my horrible jokes. He said that he also tried to ask out other girls but he would not be able because he was scared that if they said yes he would not be able to have me!! So he would always look at me, 24/7!!!!!! I now understand why I felt so good around him, because we were meant to be!??✌✌?✌?✌?✌?✌?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Well… I’m not so sure about the one second longer thing and the looking at you often…
Cuz a guy I was talking to who had rejected me I was talking to alone (nobody else being around nor walking past us. also btw he was the one who started the convo). So we talked and then there was probably 10-15 seconds of nothing but him looking at me. Would have lasted longer but I chose to end it cuz that was kinda getting awkward for me and needed to go back to my dorm and get work done.
The looking at you often happened with the same guy. He quite often looked at me, but as i said earlier he had no interest in me.
Also there’s the touching thing and hugging. Make sure your guy isn’t just an overly affectionate guy cuz this other guy i know does that with me, but he also hugs and stuff with our other female friends. If he’s an affectionate guy I would say that the time where this touching you would be valid as a sign is when he has a huge tickle fight with you and he LITERALLY lays on top of you(and even guides you to where he is ticklish and how hard to press) or he at some point has you sit on his lap facing him and him bringing you in a bit too close…then feeling his “location” press through both your pants and pushing on your “destination”.
SO,THERE IS THIS GUY AT WORK THAT I LIKE,AND WE ARE ALWAYS JOKING WITH EACH OTHER AND HE PICKS ON ME AND FLIRTS WITH ME. He has done 14 of these things to me,and he always smiles when we get around each other,and he acts different at times and he will try to ignore me too,also he is always around when I am or on accident. He told me he liked me and I told him I liked him,but he hasn’t made any other moves,do you think he is just playing hard to get or he knows he likes me but doesn’t know when to make the next move.help please I really like him!!

I like this guy that I’ve been best friends with for four years and I think he may be attracted to me as well, so today I tried to pay attention to his body language to see if it was mirroring mine, and pretty much every time I shifted in my seat to change positions, he would do the same thing. It’s crazy how many of the subconscious things you notice once you start paying attention.
I like this guy who goes on my bus, but I’m not sure that he likes me because he’s always sitting near me (he even sat next to me once) but the only time he doesn’t sit near me is when there’s lots of people on the bus (he gets on the bus not so long after I get on). But it’s strange cause one day when I was on the bus I wasn’t wearing my school uniform and I thought I saw my crush staring at me from across the aisle but I wasn’t sure if he was staring directly at me or if he was looking at something else, but then the next day when he got on the bus he started acting strange around me and he started humming and whistling and then this one time I was looking out the window on the bus and I thought I saw him through the reflection of the window staring at me. Then another time his friend started teasing him about something as they were about to get on the bus and my crush started playfully hitting him with his book. I wasn’t sure if my crush’s friend was either teasing him about me or this other girl or something. I still really don’t know if my crush likes me back and plus I really want to get to know him cause I’ve never talked to him before and I really don’t what to say to him :/

So I was going to walk home with a group of guys and when i was walking to them they looked like they were kind of teasing him.When we were walking like almost through the whole way he was walking next to me like touching my shoulder with his.He also hugged me.And when half the guys were leaving they were kind of far and one of the guys shouted both of our names and then he looked away and one of them was trying to tell me he likes me.
And btw there was 4 guys and when we split up there was 2 guys.

Umm there’s one guy… let me go from the beginning… I had a crush on one guy a year ago, but he didn’t notice me AT ALL. Now, I drastically changed my look and everything started when he sit next to me at a maths test. I couldn’t think at all because he was talking to me a lot at the beginning and I couldn’t stop giggling. And when we were done he walked with me about 10km until I got home 😀 He did that on the next two tests when we saw each other… and once, he even sit next to me when my best friend got off the bus. We were texting to 3am a few times and he gave me his apple juice. He’s 1 year older, and we don’t go to school at the same time so we don’t see each other often. I know it’s A LOT of sings, but what if he wants to be just a friend?! He seems to be TOO relaxed and I think he’s like this with all the girls… And I may have bored him because I talk stupid stuff when we text or when I’m around him. I once told him that one guy asked me out, and he told me to reject him… but now, he seems to be cool with it. URGHHH I’m sooo confused!!!
Okay so there’s this guy who works at the pub I go to, when I’m there he always talks to me more then most people there and comes up and sees how im going and that even if I’m no wear near the bar , he makes me a special drink and just have a good laugh together I don’t know if that’s how he is or he likes me what do you think
Well I’m reading all of these comments of people and their successful crush stories (because why not?) and getting quite flustered because my crush has 4 of 7 classes with my and I sit next to him in 1 of them and in another he sits next to my best friend who is in front of me so he normally chimes in on our conversations. He showed many, if not all, of these signs of liking me for like 3 weeks up until this week and I’m not exactly sure what happened. He still shows some of the signs, such as showing off, getting jealous when I joke around with other guys, clumsy, teasing, staring (sometimes), but they’re not displayed as often as before and not as strongly.

UH WHAT WAS HER NAME.. But the weird thing is he knows we were friends with the girl he was talking about ..DUMMY
Hey I know this is a little late but it kind of sounds like he’s purposely trying to make you jealous. Either way, just take a leap of faith and tell him how you feel and maybe he’ll return those feelings if not then I hope you guys stay friends.
Yeah, he definitely likes you and if you like him you should mention it before he really does move on. He did most of that to get a reaction, especially ignoring you by not being your friend anymore. He wants to see if you miss him/ want him to be around, but he also wants to move on if you don’t like him which is another reason for him to act this way. So if you want him act fast because he doesn’t want someone who likes someone else.
Just some advice hope it helps and works out if you want it too. Which it sounds like you do since you noticed all the tiny things he was doing… well either that or you were just curious why he was acting this way 😛
Ok so there’s this guy who I have caught him staring at me twice but other than that he basically ignores me. His best friend told me he likes me, but his best friend likes to mess with people. Today his best friend saw me and nudged him and gestured to me and and he (my crush) blushed and kinda shoved/punched his best friend. However, he told everyone that asked him (including me although I didn’t ask directly) that he DIDN’T like me. This guy is like the second or third most popular guy in the school, and has lots of friends that are girls, he’s really outgoing. However, during the one 30sec convo I had with him he was extremely quiet and mumbly and nervous.
I don’t know what to think?! Does he like me or not?? I am not popular but I do have about 25 friends. We are in 7th grade.
First how many friends you or he has isn’t important to the fact of whether he likes you or not and second. Yes, he does like you but he’s embaressed that you may not like him back. He notices you and that can be the biggest point here. If you honestly like him you need to find a way for the two of you to talk in private, where his friends won’t be there, and tell him you like him. He definetly likes you too but absolutely DO NOT confess in front of his friends he will probably deny that he likes you because he doesn’t want his friends to think anything. (Boys at this age usually care Way too much about what their friends think)
